He is preceded in death by his parents, Wingate Fuller Cain & Lula Mae Shaw Cain. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Alice Faye Brisson Cain; siblings, Katherine Dupuis, Elwood Cain, Sybil Biconish and Dorothy Cain.
He was a Korean War Veteran in the United States Army.
He is survived by his children, Sybil Amanda Logan & husband, Francis, Kimberly Cain Carroll & husband, Stewart, Richard Cain and David Cain; grandchildren, Justin, Tommy, Troy and Tessa Cain; and sisters, Isla Gipson and Polly Williams.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Clarence C. Hair; son, Allen Hair & wife, Caroline; sisters, Sudie Roa and Margaret Wright; brother, Robert Cain and several nieces and nephews.
