Koonts, who died Sept. 17, 2001; a grandson, Danny Koonts, who died Aug. 13, 2000; four brothers, Zeb T. Myers, John Myers, Billy Myers and Tommy Myers; and two sisters, Zulla M. Jentzen and Kathleen Myers.

  Miss Myrtice Myers, well-known Southern Bell Telephone Company employee, died this morning in a local hospital following an extended illness. A native of Savannah, she had made her home in Waycross since 1924. She began her career with Southern Bell in 1925 and retired in 1955 as service representative. Miss Myers was a life member in Telephone Pioneers of America and was active in the organization until ill health prevented taking part. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Harvester Sunday School Class. Survivors include her mother, Mrs. C. T. Myers, Sr., Waycross, eight brothers, Clay T. Myers, Jr., Waycross, Herbert E. Myers, Mableton, Charles D. Myers, Atlanta, William F. Myers, Griffin, Marvin L. Myers, Jacksonville, Fla., James F. Myers, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Donald E. Myers, Los Angeles, Calif., and Earl C.   The funeral will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. J. Randy Hall. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Reformed United Church of Christ Cemetery.
  
  Mrs. Jordan was born in Lexington on Sept. 8, 1922, to Robert Franklin and Della Nance Myers. She was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress. She was a charter member of Kendall Presbyterian Church in Miami where she served in many capacities. She enjoyed coming back to Lexington every August to visit. She will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Jordan; six brothers, Grady Myers, Jack Myers, Lester Myers, Silas Myers, Ray Myers and Jerry Myers; and three sisters, Claytie Everhart, Libby Bernhard and Nannie Everhart.
  
  Surviving are two sons, James E. Jordan and his wife, Trulee, and Robert Myers Jordan, all of Miami, Fla; one daughter, Suzanne Pedro and her husband, Mike, of Miami, Fla; four grandchildren, John Pedro, David Pedro, Chad Jordan and Krista Jordan, all of Miami; one brother, Billy Joe Myers and his wife, Betty, of Georgia; and one sister, Margaret Myers DeLapp, and her husband, John, of Lexington.

  The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Good Hope United Methodist Church, where she was a member, by the Revs. Chris Bennett and Arthur Holland. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
  
  Mrs. DeLapp was born Feb. 3, 1927, in Davidson County to Robert Franklin Myers and Della Nance Myers. She grew up in Pilgrim Reformed before joining Good Hope after her marriage to John Lawrence DeLapp. She was a member of Senior Friends, Unity Circle and Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She also was church historian and had held every office in the United Methodist Women and was presented a life membership pin. She was very active in other church activities. Mrs. DeLapp represented Davidson County as a past delegate to the Senior Tar Heel Legislature. Her favorite pastime was going to auction sales, furnishing her home with antiques and building dollhouses for her many dolls. She and her husband of 56 years enjoyed traveling the country and working side by side, maintaining the family farm which has been in existence for more than 100 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Grady, Lester, Silas, Ray, Jack, Jerry and Billy Joe Myers; and sisters Clatie Everhart, Nannie Everhart, Colleen Jordan and Elizabeth Bernhart.
  
  Surviving are her loving husband and best friend, John Lawrence Delapp, of the home; sons Robert DeLapp and his wife, Suzanne, and John DeLapp, all of Lexington; and the joy of her life, her grandchildren, Jonathan, Elizabeth and Abbey DeLapp.
  
  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and other times at the home.
  
  The family would like to thank Dr. Christopher Thomas for all the love and concern shown to the family during Mrs. DeLapp's illness. They would also like to thank friends and neighbors who have meant the world to her.
