Mary was born on Sept. 20, 1935, to Glenn William and Mary Frances (Hradecky) Clodfelder in Pine Cliff. She graduated from Sterling High School and took some courses at Northeastern Junior College.
She was the owner/operator of Mary's Corner Café in Fleming. She then did home health care for many patients in the Fleming area. She married Dale Lloyd Wiebers in Sterling on July 16, 1952. They were married for 17 years.
Mary was a longtime member of Matinee Club, Thursday Study Club, the Library Board and Friends of the Library. She enjoyed drawing and painting, needle work, reading, and gardening.
She is survived by sons, LeRoy Wiebers and Leon Wiebers and wife Michelle, all of Sterling; daughters, Valerie Elmquist and husband Byron of Canyon, Texas, and Vonda Krier and husband Alan of Sterling; brothers, James Clodfelder of Akron, Martin Clodfelder of Otis and Russell Clodfelder of Sterling; sisters, Peggy Johnson of Sterling and Nancy Koehler of Yuma; 11 grandchildren, Cherie Wiebers Krayna, Amber Wiebers Hyink, Danielle Krier McDonald, Tyler Krier, Logan Krier, Joshua Wiebers, Travis Wiebers, Jonathon Elmquist, Ashley Elmquist, Cameron Elmquist and Steve Elmquist; and nine great- grandchildren.
