  This obituary appeared in the Southern Christian Advocate dated February 1, 1839.
  
  Departed this life in Houston county, Ga., on the 1st inst. mth. LOUISA, wife of Simeon B. Bryan, and daughter of Needham and Ardelia Smith. She was a lady of eminent modesty and virtue, and embraced the religion of the Redeemer, experimentally, at a young protracted meeting at Emory chapel, in 1837, and joined the M. E. Church. Her marriage took place in May last and in the fall afterwards her husband's father and brothers emigrated to the far west, in the State of Louisiana, he alone remaining with his young wife in the land of their nativity. But what is our hold on the interests of time. The had scarcely touched their distant destination before she for whom he had parted with father and brothers, was taken from him. Her death was sudden, but found her well prepared; and to her mother and friends, who in the short interval of danger barely had time to make a mournful leave of her, she professed that she was happy in the triumph of Jesus. With this profession, she fell into a comotose state, in which on the same evening she expired. THOMAS SPEIGHT.

  This document was found in the Calhoun County, Georgia Deed Book 1, page 624, in my search for Baker Bryan. This document was recorded in the Calhoun County Deed Book on October 19, 1858. According to this document, Elizabeth A. Bryan was due inheritance from the estate of Simeon B. Bryan. It is assumed that Simeon B. is Baker Bryan. Elizabeth A. Bryan is said to be Simeon B. Bryan's wife on another document found on the Calhoun County microfilm. The following document was witnessed by James Bryan, brother to Baker and by T. Capus Bryan (Tilman), half brother to Baker in their home of Bienville Parish.

Bryan, a resident of the Parish and state aforesaid, have this day and do by these presents, make constitute and appoint; and in my place and stead put and depute John Thompson of the county of Clay and the State of Georgia, my trice and lawful agent and attorney in fact for me, and my name, and for my use, to ask, demand, received and recover, and if necessary to sue for and recover all sums of money due me, or owing, belonging or in any way detained from me, in whose hands soever the same may be found and also any property, goods, wares, rights, or credits, that I am justly or legally entitled to and more especially what is due me from the Estate and succession of Simeon B.   Services for Terrell Bryan Biggs, 81, were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. in the Trewitt-Reed Chapel with Rev. Kermit Johnson and Rev. Ray Scones officiating. Biggs was born Sept. 3, 1885 in Erath County and died in the Hico Hospital at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. He was the son of Mr. J. D. Biggs and was married to the former Sallie Perkins in 1906. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a retired farmer. In addition to his widow he is survived by two sons, Charles, Fort Worth, and Robert, Stephenville; one daughter, Mrs. B. E. Serrett, Beeville; one brother, J. E. Biggs, Waco; two sisters, Mrs. Wylie DeLevan, Lubbock, and Mrs. Ina Lou Chapman, Tyler; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two children preceded Biggs in death. Interment was in the Liberty Cemetery. Pallbearers were Webb Spear, Charles McAfee, Dorsie Secrist, W. C. Mauldin, Leroy Reasoner, and Everett Crain.
  
  
  Note: Terrell Bryan Biggs was the son of James D. Biggs and Terrell Little "Bunch" Biggs. It is mentioned in the obituary that two sons preceded him in death. These two sons were T. B. Biggs, Jr. and Fredrick Biggs. According to the marker, Terrell Bryan Biggs' death date was February 17, 1967, however, the Texas Death Index has his date of death recorded as February 18, 1967 in Hamilton County, Texas. His date of death according to his wife's obituary, which follows, is also February 18, but the year is given as 1968.

Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery. She was born July 22, 1890 in Drytown, Ark., and married T. B. Biggs in 1906 in Erath County. He preceded her in death February 18, 1968. She moved to Erath County as an infant and was a member of the Washington Street Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Robert Biggs of Fort Worth and a daughter, Mrs. Jewel Sarrett of Beeville, four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

  Funeral Services were held Thursday, Nov. 3 at 2:30 p.m. in the Gordon Baptist Church Fred Onady Biggs, 45, who died in Lubbock Nov. 2. He was born January 27, 1910 near Morgan Mill and grew up in this area, moving away when he was old enough to work, living in various parts of the state before settling in Lubbock. He became a member of the Baptist Church when he was 16 and served in World War II in the U.S. Army from September, 1943, until September 1945. Mr. Biggs is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Biggs of Gordon; one son, Terrell Bryan Biggs; one sister, Mrs. B. E. Sarrett of Kenedy; two brothers, Charlie J. Biggs of Lubbock and Robert E. Biggs of Gordon; two nephews, Charles Biggs of Lubbock and Bennie Sarrett of Kenedy, and on niece Beverly Biggs, of Lubbock. Interment was made in the Liberty Cemetery under the direction of the Trewitt Funeral Home.
  
  Note: According to At Rest in Liberty, Frederick O. Biggs has a military marker. On his marker is "PFC HQ Co 361 INF WWII BSN."

  Finas Dayle Biggs was born May 28, 1908 in Thurber and died September 26, 1932 in the Strawn hospital. Three years ago she was married to Charley Biggs of Gordon, at which place they resided at the time of her death. Besides her husband she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hunt of Liberty and one sister Mrs. Bill Green of Fort Worth, Doyle was converted when a young girl and untied with the Primitive Baptist church of which she was a faithful member until her death. she was known for her kind and sweet disposition and to know her was to love her. The family have the sympathy of a host of friends in this the saddest hour in their life. Funeral services were held at Liberty, twelve miles south of Gordon, at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, conducted by Rev. R. C. Collins of Glen Rose, Interment was in Liberty Cemetery.
  
  Note: Charley Biggs, the husband mentioned, was the son of Terrell Little "Bunch" Bryan Biggs and her husband, James D. Biggs. Charles Biggs can be found living in Morgan Mill with his parents at age 20 in the 1920 census.
