- Biography*: Wallace, Aug 27 - Mrs. Orpha D. Grimes,72, died at her home in Wallace Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. She had been ill for three months and death was the result of a cancerous thyroid.
Mrs. Grimes was born Nov. 5, 1876, near Wallace, the daughter of Hiram and Sarah Brent Grimes. She was married to Charles C. Grimes in September 1898. He preceded her in death in 1939.
She was a member of the Lutheran church.
Surviving are a foster-daughter, Mrs. Willia Bullock of Arkansas; two brothers, Thomas and Oscar Grimes, both of Wallace, and two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Sowers and Mrs. Lulu Krout, also both of Wallace.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete pending the arrival of the foster son-in-law from Arkansas.
