• Biography*: Mrs. Laverne Clore of Wallace, age 73, died Thursday morning, March 8, in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. She was born south of Wallace, September 9, 1905, the daughter of Samuel and Minnie Myers Sowers. In 1922, she married Cecil Clore, who preceded her in death. She was a member of Freedom Community Church at Wallace, Wallace OES and Senior Citizens. She owned and operated a grocery in Wallace from 1937 to 1954 and from then until retirement in 1962, was a telephone operator at Wallace.
  Surviving are four sons, Herbert D. Clore of Veedersburg, Donald D. Clore of Wingate, Malcolm D. of Wallace and Steven D. of North Salem; 11 grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and six step-great-granchildren.
  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at Thomas Funeral Home in Waynetown with burial in Phanuel Lutheran Cemetery at Wallace. OES Memorial rites were conducted at the funeral home Friday night.
