George Robert Regan, 71, a retired Mail Carrier-U.S Postal Service, died Sunday, August 23, 2009, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS.
He spent his last days surrounded by family and friends. He is loved and will be dearly missed.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 25, 2009, from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Yazoo City, MS. Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with burial in the Glenwood Cemetery. Stricklin-King Funeral Home (662-746-4532) in Yazoo City, MS is handling the arrangements.
Mr. Regan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran.
Survivors include: daughters, Viola Dacus and Patricia Franks, both of Clinton, MS; three sisters, Lena Mae Regan, Alice Regan McCloskey and Ann Regan Robinson, all of Yazoo City; two brothers, Francis William Regan and Joseph Rocco Regan, both of Yazoo City; and four grandchildren.

Catherine Suber Regan went to her heavenly home on September 17, 2014. Services will be at First Baptist Church in Belzoni, Mississippi on Monday, September 22, 2014. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm at the church, followed by the service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Belzoni City Cemetery, all under the direction of Burton Funeral Home in Indianola.

Catherine Suber was born at Holly Hedges in Natchez, Mississippi on August 5, 1910 to Ora Alexander Suber and William Arnett Suber. The Subers moved to Webb, Mississippi, where they lived until their move to Belzoni, Mississippi in 1922, following the death of Catherine's father in 1918. After the age of 12, Catherine was a lifelong resident of Belzoni and a faithful member of First Baptist Church. Mrs. Regan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Elliott Gregory Regan, and her brother, William Arnett Suber, Jr. Survivors include a son, Elliott Gregory Regan, Jr. and wife, Susie, of Madison, Mississippi, a daughter, Nancy Nolen Hayes, of Jackson, Mississippi, four grandchildren: Kelly Regan McCraney and husband, John, of Roswell, Georgia; Clark Elliott Nolen and wife, Michelle, of St. Louis, Missouri; Sam Blair Nolen and wife, Cathy, of Simpsonville, South Carolina; and Stuart Regan Nolen and wife, Kimberly, of Frisco, Texas. There are five great grandchildren: Jack Elliott Nolen, Emily Catherine Nolen, Regan Kate Nolen, Molly Ellen Nolen, and John Elliott McCraney.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Regan was a resident of Compere's Nursing Home in Jackson. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the nurses and caregivers at Compere's for their special care and love. It made such a difference.
