Shaster Holmes Johnston, age 63, of the Cedar Grove section of Horry County, died July 22, 1962.

Mr. Johnston was born in Georgia, a son of the late Mr and Mrs. McQueen Johnston. He was a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He lived and farmed in Horry County most of his life. He retired from farming several years ago due to ill health.

Survivors include his wife Mrs Bessie Richardson Johnston, two sons Archie L. Johnston, Tuscon, Ariz, M. Johnston, Conway; one daughter Mrs. Lester (Evelyn) Conrad, Avon, O; three sisters May Ford, Ocala Fla., Miss Ola Johnston, Ocala Fla., and Mrs. Pearl Stevens, Pensacola Fla; and five grandchildren.
