  ETHELENE CAIN WILLIAMSON Mrs. Ethelene Cain Williamson 85, of Whiteville passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughter and several nieces and friends Sunday, December 7, 2014. She was born August 24, 1929 in Bladen County, the daughter of the late Ottis Lee Cain and Hesba West Cain. She was the widow of the late Hugh Mack Williamson to whom she was married for fifty years. Mrs. Williamson retired after 35 years with Southern National Bank in Whiteville. She graduated in 1947 from White Oak High School where she played basketball and graduated from Pineland College in Salemburg, NC. She enjoyed spending hours working in her yard and garden. She loved UNC Tarheel basketball. Ethelene was a loving wife, mother, aunt and friend and will be truly missed. She is survived by a daughter, Michael Ann Williamson of Tempe, AZ; three sisters-in-law, Betty McClenny of Fayetteville, NC, Yvonne P. Cain of Ammon, NC and Joyce C. Cain of Hope Mills, NC; several nieces and nephews; a great nephew, Nicholas Dove who was like a grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Radford Eugene Cain, Carl G. Cain, Ottis Lacy Cain; a sister, Judy Cain Horne. Her funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Peacock's Chapel by Rev. Tim Reaves. Burial will be in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.   Mrs. Cain was born on January 15, 1941, in Sampson County to the late David F. and Annah Gilchrist Wells. She also is preceded in death by her husband, Ottis Lacy Cain and two brothers, Darius L. Wells and Franklin E. Wells. She was an x-ray technician and she and her husband, Lacy, were the former owners and operators of Ammon Grocery and Grill.
  She is survived by: one brother, James W. Wells of Raleigh.
  In lieu to flowers memorial may be made to Windsor United Methodist Church, 12863 Hwy 242 N, Elizabethtown, NC 28337.
