    BRASINGTON Charlotte D. (nee McNay), wife of the late Eugene T. Brasington, devoted mother of Eugene W. (Ona), James C. (Phyllis), Douglas N. (Linda), Timothy L. and the late Kenneth L. Brasington, also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Monday, December 22, 2003, resident of Maple Knoll. Friends may call at the Vorhis Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, Saturday, December 27 from 9 A.M. until service time at 10 A.M. If desired, sympathy may be expressed by a memorial contribution to the Wyoming Baptist Church.

    Eugene W. Brasington, age 78, of Troy passed away peacefully Sunday evening Jan. 27, 2012 at Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira with his loving family by his side. He was born Sept. 14, 1934 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Eugene and Charlotte (McNay) Brasington. He was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Kenneth Brasington. In 1958 he began a long career in automobiles at McClure Motors Ford in Troy, later at Genes Machines in Canton, Calkins Motors in Troy and with Williams Auto in Towanda and Wyalusing. He achieved many honors in the Ford Sales community including a long position in The 500 Club. In his youth he enjoyed gymnastics while growing up in Cincinnati. He loved golfing as a member of Corey Creek Country Club, ping-pong and snowmobiling. His years in the Troy Lions Club included serving in officer positions, and he particularly enjoyed his comedy skit performances in the minstrel shows. He was also active in the early years of The Armenia Mountain Snowmobile Club. Known by each of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as loving and caring, his memory will live on and his presence will be missed. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ona of 57 years; loving children, Thomas (Michelle) Brasington of Perkiomenville, David Brasington of Ft. Lauderdale, William (Joie) of Troy; brothers, Douglas (Linda) of Maryland and Timothy Brasington of Cincinnati, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Sarah, Linda (Ken McIlhinney), Lisa, Amanda (Mark Prekup), Kimberly, Thomas, Katherine, Alexandra; five great-grandchildren Angelo, Tyler, Kaitlyn, Ethan and Jackson along with many nieces, nephews and cousins. The public is invited to attend services at The First Baptist Church of Troy, 579 Canton Street, Troy, PA 16947 on Saturday, February 2, 2013. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to noon. Funeral services begin at noon with Reverend Zuber. A private family burial service is planned in Glenwood Cemetery. The Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home Inc., 1093 W. Main St. Troy, Pa. has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flower memorials, it is the family's wishes to support The First Baptist Church of Troy in the memory of Eugene William Brasington.

    Age 74, of Batavia, passed away peacefully Monday May 2, 2011 at Crossroads House surrounded by his devoted family. He was born July 18, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Eugene & Charlotte (McNay) Brasington, he was also preceded in death by a brother Kenneth.

    He is a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Batavia. He worked for many years as a Special Education Teacher at BOCES until his retirement in 1992. He worked part-time at the former Wick's Lumber and Valu Home Center. He enjoyed woodcarving, gardening, camping and traveling. He and his wife enjoyed Florida in the winter months until his health prevented it. A very loving grandfather and great-grandfather he will be remembered as a wonderful father and husband.

    He is survived by his beloved wife Phyllis (Scoville) Brasington with whom he celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on April 25, 2010; loving daughters Charlotte (Greg) Crawford, Rhonda Brasington all of Batavia, Michelle (Bill) Smith of Corfu; brothers William (Ona) of Troy, PA; Douglas (Linda) of Maryland and Timothy Brasington of Cincinnati, OH; sadly missed by his 8 grandchildren Derrick (Emily) Crawford, Rick Blatt, Deanna (Rick Rumble Jr. ) Crawford, Ryan (Shannon McQueen) Blatt, Josh Farnsworth, Katelyn Gutowski & Samantha Smith; 6 great-grandchildren Liam & Norah Crawford, Kristian & Kaylee Tundo, Ricky & Logan Blatt along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

    Family and friends may attend visitation from 9-11 AM Wednesday May 4, 2011 at the Grace Baptist Church 238 Vine Street Batavia, New York 14020 where Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM, Celebrated by Pastor Donald Shirk. Burial will be in Grand View Cemetery and in lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the family to distribute to Jim's favorite charities.
