  From Wamda Rozar Harris, of Ontario Georgia about 1995:
  David Holiday Rozar, was the son of David and Ann Rozar of SC. About 1820, David moved his family to TN, where he (documented) was one of the first land owners in Bedford County, TN. In 1821, Holiday was born. He was of the 7th generation of Rozar's that migrated to the American Colonies from France by way of England about 1635. Holiday was a land owner and blacksmith by trade. In 1839 he married Mary Burgess. To this union were born 10 children. Their religious faith listed in church records of Bedford County, TN as Baptist, later becoming Baptist Church of Christ, later listing as members of the Church of Christ. Mary died in 1861.
  During the Civil War, Holiday drove a supply wagon for the Confederate Army. His two sons William David and James Thomas were killed in battle of said war. In 1864 Holiday was elected Constable of Bedford Co., TN. In 1867 he married Almeda C. Wilks, they had 6 children. After the war and his slaves had been freed, Holiday decided to move his new family farther West. He sold his property to his brother Milton S. Rozar. The Rozar family, in a covered wagon, started their journey westward seeking a new home. The settled in Salam, Arkansas in Sabastian Co. The family lived there 10 years. In 1880 they moved to Benton Co., Ark. They settled about 3 miles north of Cannon. Holiday was a farmer and blacksmith, they raised their family on that farm. The Rozar homeplace known in later years as the Ray Gann place. About 1902 Holiday and Almeda moved to Osage Mills, he still had his blacksmith shop. Holiday died in Osage, 1906. Almeda died in Cave Springs, Ark. 1913. Their children were Ady, Suze, James Franklin (unmarried) Lou, Jenny, Wm David. Their children and spouses are deceased, all buried in Benton County, Ark. in the Hart Cemetery.

Alan Fennell officiating. The family will meet friends Saturday before the service from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. at Snow's Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street.   Mrs. Moore was born in Macon and was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Reeves Moore and her parents, Dr. Allen Robert Rozar and Zoe DeLamar Rozar. She had lived in Murphy, NC, and Asheville, NC, for twenty-four years where she was active in many community affairs and was president of the Murphy Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of Murphy United Methodist Church. While living in Asheville, Mrs. Moore lived at Givens Estates, a United Methodist retirement center. Living in Atlantic Beach, FL, for thirty-two years, Mrs. Moore was active in community affairs, including the Girl Scouts of America, and was a president of Ribault Garden Club and a member of Christ Untied Methodist Church.
  Mrs. Moore is survived by two daughters, Zoe M. Turner and son-in-law, Thomas C. Turner, of Anniston, AL; Nancy M. Rentz and son-in-law, Harry G. Rentz, Jr., of Atlantic Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Louisa Anne Lumpkin of Pawley's Island, SC; Margaret S. Matthews of Columbus, SC, and James M. Doar, Jr., of Charleston, SC; six great-grandchildren.
