Aline Britt Priest, 88, of Bladenboro, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Bladen East Health and Rehab in Elizabethtown. She was born on July 24, 1936 in Bladen County to the late Murdock Britt and Vera Bryan Britt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harold Priest; daughter, Karen Carter; son, Phillip Priest; brothers: Clyde and Benny Britt.
Aline leaves behind her sons: Ricky Priest (Mildred) of Elizabethtown, Patrick Priest ( Kimberly) of Maggie Valley, Michael Priest ( Melody) of Bladenboro; long-time friend, Donnie Priest; brothers: Henry Britt (Betty) of Ohio, Dale Britt (Glenda) of White Lake; grandchildren: Travis Priest (Robyn), Brandon Priest (Allyson), Johnny Priest, Terry Priest, Karen Marie Priest, Jerri Michelle Priest, Shannon Goodson, Jamie Norris, Chrissy Page; great-grandchildren: Taryn & Shane Priest, Kaetlyn & Ryen Priest, Olivia Priest, Kayleen Priest and Avan Priest.
Aline cherished the time spent with her family especially when she could cook for them. Some of her hobbies included: traveling to the beach, shopping, fishing and eating flounder and working in her yard. Aline was a very hard worker. She started her career at Veeder Root and she always kept a part-time job to keep her busy. She would often times say to her children “Spare the rod, Spoil the child, and stay out of my kitchen.” Aline will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
The family will receive friends from 2-2:45pm on Tuesday, August 13th at Bladen-Gaskins Funeral Home in Elizabethtown with a funeral service at 3pm. The Reverend Richard Priest will officiate service. Burial will follow services in the Clarkton Cemetery.
