- Biography*: Ewell Robeson's father was William R. Robeson of Tar Heel, N.C. buried at Purdie Church.
Ewell was the forth of nine children, born on the William R. Robeson farm 3 miles east of Tar Heel, North Carolina. He graduated from Tar Heel High School in 1932 and was married in 1936. He farmed for a while with his uncle in Tar Heel, then moved to his father-in-law's (Daniel G. Allen) farm in Dublin where he built a house in the early 40's. While farming, he work for the Ford Tractor and Taylor Tractor stores in Elizabethtown. Later he ran the Robeson's Grocery store in Dublin. During this time he was also the Sunday School Superintendent for the Singletary Methodist Church and was a tax lister and voting poll attendant several years for Bethel Township in Bladen County. - Birth*: Ewell Craven Robeson was born on 19 Aug 1915 at Tar Heel, Bladen County, NC.

Isabel Allen was the youngest of the four Allen daughters, born and growing up in the old Daniel G. Allen house north of Dublin in Bethel Township. She attended Tar Heel High School, graduating in 1935. She was married on 31 Oct 1936 and lived in Tar Heel for a while before moving to the Allen farm near Dublin. She spent her life as a home maker and mother to 10 children. She also worked in the tobacco and peanut fields, as well as canning and freezing food for the family. - Biography*: CAIN, Franklin A. Jr., Ed.D., 83, of Henrico, Va., passed away on December 19, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Molly Cain. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Murriel Cain; his son, David Cain (Gail); and daughter, Mary Beth Tuck (David); grandchildren, Kyle and Abby Cain, and Jeremy Tuck to whom he was known as "Honey." He is also survived by several cousins, including special cousins, Irvin Dawson, Mary Alice Tuck, Helen McKim; and sisters-in-law, Audrey Hendrick and Athene Hanson. A life-long educator and a member of Phi Beta Kappa, whose career included teaching at the high school and college levels, he worked at the state department of education and served as assistant superintendent of Stafford and Chesterfield County Schools. He was an active member of Chamberlayne Baptist Church and served on numerous boards and committees, and taught Sunday school classes for many years. Visitation will be Monday, December 22 at 10 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at Chamberlayne Baptist Church.
