Samuel Reeves Cain, 68, of Raeford, died Monday, January 5, 2009, in his home.
Mr. Cain was a member of Pittman Grove Baptist Church and a former longtime member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church. He was the owner & operator of Precision Lock-Key of Raeford and a member of the NC Locksmith Association. He was retired from civil service on Fort Bragg. Mr. Cain was a member of the Moose Lodge and a former member of the Fayetteville Jaycees.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 8, 2009, at 2 pm in Mount Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Williams officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, January 7, 2009, from 7 to 9 pm at Jernigan Warren.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Mary Knight Cain of the home; a son, Samuel David Cain of Fayetteville; daughters, Diana Flynn and husband Ernie of Clayton, and Debi Cain of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren, Christina Sanchez, Melanie Sanchez, Joshua Cain, Matthew Cain, Isabella Zylka, Emma Zylka, Kayla Flynn and Kyle Flynn; and a great-granddaughter, Terah Cain.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Fortner; and his parents, Virginia Pansy Reeves and Sidney Ivey Cain.
