MULKEYTOWN -- Billie Marcille Parrent Rentfro, 84, died Monday, May 23, 2011, in Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was a supervisor at several area garments factory, with 20 years at Joan Clair in Benton.
She was born May 30, 1926, in Murphysboro to Howard and Clara Chambers Glotfelty.
She was married first to Vernon Parrent on March 11, 1947, and he preceded her in death Jan.28, 1997. She then married Robert Rentfro on Dec.28, 2002, and he survives of Mulkeytown.
She attended First Christian Church in Christopher.
She was a member of Red Hats Women Club of Christopher, Jolly Jill's and Jacks.
Survivors include children, Patty and Wade Miller of Chester; seven stepchildren; grandchildren, Cassidy Miller of Chester, Cortney Miller Evans and husband, Eric Evans Dowell; 12 stepgrandchildren; and brother-in-law, Clifford Parrent of Christopher.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon Parrent; and brother, Cyril "Corkey" Glotfelty.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, May 30, in First Christian Church in Christopher, with the Rev. Kevin Bonifacius. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery in Buckner. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, May 29, at the funeral home.
Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher is in charge of arrangements.
Her greatest joy was spending time wither family; she was loved by everyone that knew her as she had a smile for them all.

Cyril Franklin "Corkey" Glotfelty, 79, of Murphysboro, Illinois, passed away at 10:02 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Cyril was born on October 23, 1931, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Howard Glotfelty and Clara (Chambers) Glotfelty. He graduated from Murphysboro Township High School with the Class of 1951.
His military career included serving during both the Korean and the Vietnam Conflicts in the Illinois National Guard in Company A of the 135th Engineers, the U.S. Navy, and he retired in 1972, as a Technical Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, as a airplane mechanic. Recently, he had attended several reunions with the Illinois National Guard, and previously, until his wife's health failed, both Corkey and Cleva attended reunions on the U.S.S. Block Island in Norfolk, Virginia, where he had served.
After his military career, he worked as a custodian for 20 years for the Murphysboro Unit School District # 186.
Mr. Glotfelty was a lifetime member of both the American Legion Post # 127 and the V.F.W. Post # 7190, and a member of the Jackson County D.A.V. Chapter # 69. He was a member of the Jackson County Farm Bureau. Corkey enjoyed fishing and hunting and he liked to travel and camp.
He married Cleva Brothers on October 23, 1964, and she preceded him in death on September 5, 1999.
He is survived by one daughter and son in law Laura and Eric Ebersohl of Herrin; one grandson Nicolas Roth of Herrin; one sister Billie Rentfro and her husband Bob Rentfro of Mulkeytown; two step daughters Terri Yates and her husband Pat Yates of Murphysboro and Marsha Garner and her husband James Garner of Troy, IL; four step grandchildren and six step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one step daughter Rita Kimmel and his parents.
Funeral services for Mr. Glotfelty will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2011, at Pettett Funeral Home, with Father Gary Gummersheimer officiating and burial at Murdale Gardens of Memory with military services conducted by American Legion Post # 127, VFW Post # 7190 and # 2605, and Jackson County DAV Chapter # 69. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Sunday and until the hour of service of Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post # 127 in Murphysboro.

He was born Sept. 7, 1906, in Makanda to Jacob and Mae (Elliot) Lirely. He married Daisy Allen in 1928. She survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Ed and Ivan Lirely Jr., both of Murphysboro; two brothers, Robert Lirely of Effingham and the Rev. William Lirely of Makanda; one sister, Fannie Oliver of Makanda; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Four brothers, one sister and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
