  John Wayne Denison 64 went to be with his Lord Sunday evening in Abilene Texas. Funeral services will be held 2:00 Thursday at Central Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Rule Cemetery.
  
  John was born in Haskell, Texas to Billy Wayne Denison and Ida Marr Denison of Old Glory, Texas. He was raised in Rule and Old Glory.
  
  John was a longtime rancher and former Texas Peace Officer. He was a talented guitarist and fiddle player and had a great love for music. John was known for raising large exotic cats. He enjoyed flying planes, fishing, hunting, snow skiing and being in the mountains.
  
  John was preceded in death by his parents Billy Wayne and Ida Marr Denison. He is survived by his brother Bobby Denison of Hamlin, Texas and daughters Brittany Lawrence and husband Dave Lawrence and their children Brave and Cade of Niceville, Florida; Chelsea Friar and husband Blake Friar and their children Kyla, Landon and Sadie Grace of Aspermont, Texas; Brieanna Carrell and husband Derrick Carrell and their children Rylee, Troy and Liam of Abilene, Texas.
  
  John loved the Lord and witnessed to many throughout his life. He opened his home for youth group meetings, bible study and prayer. He was a loving father, grandfather and a friend to many and he will be greatly missed. John is walking with Jesus and reunited with his loved ones in heaven.

  CATTERTON, Ann Bowers, of Richmond, widow of Elijah Davis "Dave" Catterton, died Monday, September 8, 2014. A native of Richmond, she was the daughter of the late William R. Bowers and Ann Fraser Bowers. Mrs. Catterton was a graduate of Collegiate School in 1942 and Hollins College in 1946. She was married to her late husband of 53 years in 1949. Mrs. Catterton was a lifelong member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son, John Davis Catterton and his wife, Janet Shirrell Catterton; her daughter, Fraser Catterton Finney and her husband, James Imboden Finney III; four grandchildren, William Edward Catterton, Virginia Lee Catterton, James Imboden Finney IV and Stewart Davis Finney; and her sister, Mary Jane Bowers Willis. Mrs. Catterton was preceded in death by her brother, John Ros Bowers. A graveside service will be held at 12 noon Saturday, September 13, in Hollywood Cemetery. A reception will follow the service at Westminster Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4103 Monument Ave, Richmond, Va. 23230, Collegiate School, 103 N.
