  Mr. Murry died after a massive heart attack on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2014, in Tyler.
  He was born on July 30, 1958, in Shreveport, La., to Shirley and Clayton Murry.
  He raised three sons, Shawn Patrick (35), Jarred Don (25), and Steven Jacob (19) Murry, of Whitehouse. Steven served in the United States Coast Guard, worked as a mechanic and later became a sergeant and K-9 officer for the Smith County Precinct 1 Constable's Office. He was particularly known for his police and mechanic work.
  
  Steven is survived by his sons, Jacob, Jarred and Shawn and his wife Kim; his grandchildren, Bailey, Cole, Cassie and Jenna; brothers, Larry and Roy; sisters, Bonnie and Kerry; mother, Shirley; and his K-9 Partner, Kaleb.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Christine Barnett; and his first wife, Shannon Schwain Dial, the mother of his children.
