• Biography*: OBITUARY: James Olen Agerton, 83, a resident of Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado and formerly of Urbana, went home to glory on Friday, March 14, 2008, at Life Touch Hospice House in El Dorado. Born on Aug. 24, 1924, he was the son of Wilson and Clara Frisby Agerton, who preceded him in death, along with a son, Bonnie Roy Bull. James loved the outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing, walking or gardening. He retired from Monsanto Chemical Co. after 31 years and then fully enjoyed his retirement years until becoming ill three years ago. At that time, he and his wife moved from Urbana to Oak Ridge Nursing Home, where for several months he entertained the residents and staff with his singing, especially "Beulah Land", his favorite song. The family extends a very special thank you to the staff of Oak Ridge Nursing Home for taking such good care of James. James was a member and served as an usher at Harmony Baptist Church for many years. He served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corp during the World War II era. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Allie Mae Agerton of El Dorado; two sons, Robert D. Agerton (Jerri) of Urbana, and Mac Arthur Bull (Marta) of El Dorado; two brothers, Mike Agerton (Dovie) and Billy Agerton (Juanita), all of Urbana; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. on Monday in Urbana Cemetery with the Rev. Bruce Murphy officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home in El Dorado. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 tonight. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary and Jerry Agerton, James Carroll Frisby, Jack Frisby, Huitt Carter, Lee Roy Pratt and Wesley Webb. • Biography*: Allie Mae Nash Agerton, age 91, a resident of Oak Ridge Nursing Home in El Dorado, formerly of Urbana, went home to Heaven Sunday, October 28, 2012, at Oak Ridge. Allie was born January 12, 1921, the daughter of Bright Nash and Neely Nelms Nash. She was predeceased by her parents, six brothers, her husband of 62 years, James O. Agerton, and a son, Bonnie Roy Bull. Allie is survived by two sons, MacArthur Bull (Marta) of El Dorado, and Robert D. Agerton (Jerri) of Urbana; ten grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, and a host of friends.
  
  Allie typified the Proverbs 31 woman in that she was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. She was a skilled homemaker whose hands were never idle.
  
  While rearing her children, Allie worked in the school cafeterias at Lawson and Urbana. She was an accomplished cook - making savory meals out of everything her husband and sons caught, shot, or trapped. She could skin a deer, clean a squirrel, or scale and filet a fish quicker than most men. She was a skilled seamstress, and excelled at quilt-making, often designing her own patterns. Her love language was cooking big meals, and having lots of folks sit around her table and enjoy the fruits of her labor.
  
  She lived in Urbana most of her adult life, until moving to Oak Ridge Nursing Home in December of 2005. The family extends a very special thank you to the staff of Oak Ridge for taking such good care of Allie.
  
  Graveside services were at 2 p. m. on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Urbana Cemetery, under direction of Youngs, with Rev. Sam Whitlow officiating. Visitation was Monday, October 29th, from 6-8 p. m. at Youngs. Memorials to the First Baptist Church of Urbana, or to Harmony Baptist Church.

  Mr. Ball is the son of the late Willie Lawson Ball and the late Pamela Agerton Ball. He was also preceded in death by his daughter: Diane Lunsford and by three brothers: Dalton Ball, Prentiss Ball, and Richard Ball.
  
  Mr. Ball is survived by his wife of 59 years Inez Donahoe Ball; one son: Ronnie Ball and his wife Denise of Winnfield; one daughter: Donna Johnson and her husband Joe of Winnfield; one sister Juanita Griffin of Strong Arkansas; eight grandchildren: Jessica, Natalie, Spencer, Derek, Jennifer, Caitlin, Bethany and Eli; five great grandchildren: Sabrina, Cameron, Alex, Hannah, and Josie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
  
  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Zion Hill Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Phelps officiating. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Visitation is 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the church on Tuesday, October 15th. Interment will be at Liberty Hill Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home of Farmerville.
  
  Mr. Blake was born on June 25, 1926, the son of Enoch and Faye Hicks Albritton. He passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Monroe, Louisiana. He was a lifelong resident of Farmerville where he enjoyed growing up with his siblings and his many cousins. Upon receiving an Honorable Discharge from the United States Army, he enrolled in and graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a B.A. in Secondary Education and an M.A in School Administration from the University of Arkansas. For over thirty years, he served in the Union Parish Schools as a classroom teacher at Farmerville High, assistant principal at Farmerville Middle, principal at Farmerville Elementary and Director of the GED program. He influenced many students positively and enjoyed seeing them through the years.
  
  From an early age, Blake enjoyed hunting, fishing, and staying abreast of various sports on the college and professional level. After retirement he began to play golf and he enjoyed this immensely as well. He nurtured relationships with his extended family and his many friends. Blake loved a good laugh. With an unmatched dry wit, a twinkle in his eye, and a serious facial expression, he was known to play a prank or two, particularly on those nearest and dearest to him. Of all the joys in his life, however, nothing gave him greater happiness than seeing his two precious granddaughters and being lovingly embraced with "Hey, Pop!"
  
  Blake was a longtime member of the Farmerville Church of Christ. He was truly devoted to the Lord and to his family.
  
  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia M. Albritton; three brothers, Elton, Calvin "Cowboy", and E.J; and one sister, Lillian.
  
  He is survived by two daughters, Patti Fowler and husband Robert of Austin, TX; Annamari Morris and husband Rickey of Farmerville, LA; two granddaughters, Alisan Rutland and husband Ben of Dallas, TX; and Abby Morris of Farmerville, LA; sister-in-law June Albritton Petterson of Monroe, LA; dearest friend Evelyn Washam of Farmerville, LA; several nieces and nephews.

  Mrs. Bird was born March 5, 1924, in Winnsboro, Louisiana to the late Jessie James and Lillian Jones Poland yet was raised in the Fellowship Community near Dubach, Louisiana and was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ August 16, 2009, in Shreveport, Louisiana. Mrs. Bird was a member of the Pleasant Hope Primitive Baptist Church in McLeod, Texas. Mrs. Bird enjoyed traveling with her husband of 56years, Mr. Miles T. Bird and together they vacationed in 49 states and Canada. For 55 years in a row, Mrs. Bird would make Halloween popcorn balls for the neighborhood children. Mrs. Bird will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, caring sibling, a doting grandmother, endearing great grandmother and delightful friend to all who knew her.
  
  Left to cherish her memory and tell her stories will be her husband, Miles T. Bird; two daughters, Diane Caldarera and Laura Crowell and husband Clinton; one son, Perry Bird; one sister, Frances Goodrich; one brother, T. L. Poland and wife Betty; and four grandchildren, David Crowell and wife Marie (their three children), Jessica Dobson and husband Bart, John T. Bird, and Taylor G.
