John Hugh Cameron, age 82, of Lillington, NC, died Monday, January 4, 2021 at Emerald Health & Rehab Center in Lillington, NC.

He was born in Harnett County, NC on March 27, 1938 to the late James Cameron and Sarah Ann McNeill Cameron. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his wife – of over 45 years - Barbara Jean Cheek Cameron and sister Catherine C. Adcock of Lillington.

John owned and operated John Hugh Cameron Yard Service in Raleigh, NC for many years.

He is survived by siblings Frances C. Regan of Raleigh, NC, Ruth C. Cox of Broadway, NC, Rachel C. Lewis of Fuquay-Varina/Cary, NC, Barbara C. Hester (Ralph) of Wilson, NC; James Cameron, Jr. (Marilyn) of Lakeland, FL, Charles L. Cameron of Broadway, NC; numerous nieces, nephews and special Amish friends in Pennsylvania.

Memorial services for John will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be sent to Bridges-Cameron Funeral Home to defray final expenses, 600 W. Main Street, Sanford, NC 27332.

Mr. James "Jim" Cameron Jr., 92, of Lakeland, FL, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024. He was born on September 22, 1931 in Sanford, North Carolina. Jim spent 20 years in the United States Air Force before retiring.

He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Adcock; his brothers, Charles Cameron & John Hugh Cameron of N.C; his parents, James & Sarah Cameron of N. C. and his former wife, Lois Ladona Cameron.
