  Devara Essick Everhart, 86, of Michael Drive, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Hinkle Hospice House after a brief illness.
  
  A funeral will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Bethesda United Methodist Church by the Rev. Dennis Marshall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
  
  The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home of the sister, Alma Craver on Michael Drive.
  
  Mrs. Everhart was born July 4, 1926, in Davidson County to Fred Lee Essick and Zella Elizabeth Hinkle Essick. She was a retired employee of Dacotah Cotton Mill and a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard Carlton Everhart; three brothers, Holland Essick and wife Norene, Ellis Essick and Colin A. Essick and wife Hazel; a sister, Ruth Sink and husband A.N; and brothers-in-law Frank Craver, Larry Griffie and J.C. Medlin.
  
  Surviving are two brothers, Casper Essick and wife Rebecca of Welcome and Joe Essick and wife Theola of Lexington; three sisters, Willie Medlin of Welcome, Alma Craver of Lexington and Peggy Griffie of Charlotte; and many nieces and nephews.
  
  Memorials may be directed to Bethesda United Methodist Church General Fund, 2922 Bethesda Road, Lexington, NC 27295.

• Biography*: Mrs. Della Willoughby-West, 57, wife of Shelton West of Lumberton, a prominent Wishart's Township Farmer, died last night at a local sanatorium. She had been in declining health for about a year, but had been up about her usual duties most of the time until she entered the hospital a week ago, where she underwent an operation Tuesday.
  
  Funeral services will be held from East Lumberton Baptist Church of which she was a faithful member, Friday, at 3 p. m. and interment will be in the family cemetery near the home. Her pastor, the Rev. E. A. Paul will be in charge of the rites.
  
  Surviving are her husband; 4 daughters, Mrs. Luther Lewis and Mrs. Roy Covington of Lumberton R. 5., Mrs. Walter Edwards of the home, and Mrs. Murris White of Lumberton, 4 sons, Carl, Jack and Wallace of R. 5, and Maurice West of the home; 2 sisters, Mrs. Florence Packard of Wilmington and Mrs. Pearlie Sellers of St. Pauls, 2 brothers, Daniel Willoughby of Lumberton and Newport News, Va., and Grady Willoughby of St. Pauls; 14 grandchildren. She was a sister of the late Mrs. Frank Pittman of East Lumberton.
  
  Mrs. West was born in Britts Township, Lumberton, R. 2, on June 14, 1890, a daughter of the late Duncan and Zilla Willoughby. She possessed a quiet unassuming quality adn friendly disposition, which had won for her a host of friends.
