• Biography*: OBITUARY:
  Louise Spicer Strebe, 98 passed away August 30, 2014, in Cypress, CA. She was born July 23, 1916 in Wapato, WA to Edward A. Spicer and Grace Clowers.
  
  Her mother passed away when she was three years old and at the age of 10 her father married her mother's sister, Bertha. Clowers Booth. Bertha had two children at the time, Fred and Dorthea Booth, and along with her brother Lloyd they became a family.
  
  Lousie married Vance Strebe in January of 1935; they lived in California for a time, and then moved to a farm outside of Outlook, WA. In 1948 they moved to Block 1 in Pasco.
  
  In 1955 they moved to Mesa, farmed and for a time owned the Mesa Hotel. She also lived in Basin City, and then moved back to the Tri-Cities.
  
  Louise was a busy woman all her life: as a young farm wife she taught herself to play piano; she played for dances at the Outlook Grange. When they moved to Pasco she played at the Columbia Valley. Grange dances.
  
  She worked in the cafeteria for the Pasco and Connell School District, also various restaurants in the Tri-Cities.
  
  She was active in the Pasco and Kennewick Senior Center. She greatly loved studying the Bible, attending many study groups, reading it daily along with many other religious books.
  
  She was proud of her family and lived to see six generations, leaving behind many descendants.
  
  At the time of her death she was living with her son Vincent. She is survived by her son Vincent W. Strebe, of Cypress CA, daughter Verlea (Robert) Buckendorf of Kennewick, WA.
  
  Louise was preceded in death by her husband Vance, daughter Verrae Taylor, her father and mother, Edward and Grace Spicer, brother Lloye Spicer, grandson Dana Nance, great-grandchildren Josey Taylor, Danial Nance, and great-great-granddaughter Karley Blouin.
  
  At her request there will be no formal service. The family will meet at a later date to share memories. We will miss the love and comfort she gave to each of us.
