Visitation was from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home with Brother Ron Payne officiating. Burial was in Ingraham Cemetery.
Mrs. Phillips was born on September 26, 1924, the daughter of Emery and Zelma (Wilson) Sowers. She married Alva Galen Phillips on November 2, 1942. He preceded her in death on November 6, 1994.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Phillips is survived by two sons, Harold Phillips and his wife, Kay, of Clarksville, Tenn., and Richard Phillips and his wife, Patti, of Waynesboro, Ind; three daughters, Marilyn Eggert and her husband, Roland, of Karns, Tenn., Barbara LaFaver and her husband, Roger, of Hillside, and Debora Reano, of Neoga; a daughter-in-law, Patsy Phillips, of Neoga; two brothers, Don Sowers, of Huntland, Tenn., and Roy Sowers, of Fountain Hills, Ariz; a sister, Juanita Lanham, of Thornton; a sister-in-law, Vivian Rinnert, of Clay City; and 19 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son, John Phillips.
