She died Nov. 17, 2003, at Clarksdale Nursing Center.
Mrs. Banks was a member of Lyon United Methodist Church, where she taught adult Sunday School for many years. She was a graduate of Mississippi University for Women; a member and past regent of the DAR, member of Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, American Assn. of University Women and Clarksdale Women’s Club, and president of Massey Farms Inc.
She was born Oct. 14, 1913, at Tylertown, daughter of the late Dr. Ralph Reagan and Montora Hobgood Reagan. She was preceded in death by two husbands, J.T. Massey and Rev. John Banks.
Survivors include two daughters, Sally Massey Aust of Summerdale, Ala., and Mary Alice Massey Greene of Clarksdale; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Lyon Methodist Church, P. O. Box 177, Lyon, MS 38645.

Gladys finished High School at Cochran High in 1930, Middle GA College in 1932, and began teaching at Salem in Bleckley County, GA. Began teaching in Dodge County, GA from 1937 to 1975 with the exception of 1954 to 1955 in Glynn County, GA. Worked last nine years with CESA, retiring after 40 years teaching in 1975. After Middle GA College came B.S. in Education, GA State College for Women in 1940; M.Ed from Mercer University, Macon, GA in 1957; Reading Specialist, Mercer Univ. 1966; 6th year in Supervision, Univ. of GA 1968; 6th year in Reading, Univ. of GA in 1970. Taught first grade, fourth grade, sixth grade, seventh grade, Principal of Elem. School for one term; Instructional Supervisor of Reading with Heart of GA Schools for 9 years. Continued to live in home in Eastman, GA.
Professionally belonged to Didge County, GA Education Assoc. (as Sec. and Treas.)(membership Chair.), American Assoc. of U.
