Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Jane Britt, 83, wife of the late Carson A. Britt, who died Thursday night at Southeastern General Hospital following a long illness, will be held at 3 p.m. at Long Branch Baptist Church conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Joe Sellers, assisted by D. W. Branch and the Rev. John Haas. Burial will follow in New Hollywood Cemetery.

The Body will be at Biggs Funeral Home until one hour prior to the services.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank Roberts of Lumberton Rt. 5, with whom she made her home, Mrs. Hardy Suggs of Lumberton Rt, 5, Mrs. C. P. Hayes and Miss Mary Elizabeth Britt, both of Lumberton; two sons, Fred C. Britt and Knox Britt, both of Lumberton Rt. 2; three sisters, Mrs. Claude Furr of Fayetteville, Mrs. Lucinda Britt and Mrs. Lizzie Pittman wife of June Pittman, both of Lumberton; two brothers, Rence Britt of Dunn and Bob Britt of Dublin; 30 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.

Nash C. Israel, Jr. (Duck), 75 of McDonough, Ga. died Thursday, September 05, 2013 at his daughter's residence in Jesup, GA, under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. The North Carolina native was a member of Turners United Methodist Church, in McDonough, GA. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retiree from the trucking industry. He enjoyed wood working, and building and restoring old cars and trucks.

His was preceded in death by his parents Nash C. Israel and Theatis Britt Israel. His wife, Janet Britt Floyd Israel and his sister, Barbara Israel Barnes, preceded him in death.

Survivors are daughters, Gail Floyd Sherman (Garry) of Asheville, NC, Tricia Hall (Steve) of Landis, NC, Susie Israel, of Pocoquson, VA, Kathy Israel-McLeod (Marty), of Jesup, GA. Sons, Lamar Floyd (Cathy), of Beauford, SC, and Mike Floyd (Nancy) of Denver, NC; sisters, Linda Mercer of Rincon, Ga., Dianne (Gerald) Bejma of Holiday, Fla., Alice (Bob) Tucker of Hancock, ME; a brother, Joseph Israel of Goldsboro, NC; ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be 2pm Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Turners United Methodist Church, 2957 Turner Church Road, McDonough, GA 30252 with Rev. Leon Baxter and Rev. Kathy Israel-McLeod officiating.
