- Biography*: When Lancaster County was formed in 1785, he was one of the first justices. He was elected a representative from the District East of the Wateree when the South Carolina Conevtion was called to vote on the Constitution proposed for the new nation. He along with nine others from his district voted against the Constitution. Only one voted for it.
