  Robert James Redwine died Tuesday morning, July 1, 2014. He was 88.
  Born in Stanly County, North Carolina to the late Kate Clark Redwine and Clay Tom Redwine, Sr.
  "Bobby" was educated in the Albemarle City schools, Pfeiffer College and Wake Forest University.
  He served in the amphibious forces of the US Navy during World War II, and he retired in Columbia, South Carolina, after a career with the Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Company, where he served as Regional Sales Manager.
  Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Jones Redwine, and sons Robert James Redwine, Jr., and Neil Coite Redwine, as well as sisters Frances Clark Redwine, Madge R White, and Jane R. Knotts.
  He is survived by his brother Clay Tom Redwine, Jr., of Albemarle, and a son and daughter-in-law, William Thomas Redwine and Sonja Reynolds Redwine, of Bentonville, Arkansas.
  He was a resident of Columbia, South Carolina, from July 1961 until his death. Bob was a deacon in the First Baptist Church of Columbia and active in many church programs.
  Graveside services will be held at Fairview Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Stanly Funeral Home on July 7 at 12 noon.

  William Thomas “Tom” Redwine, 57, of Rogers, Arkansas died October 24, 2020 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville of a congenital heart defect.
  
  He was born April 5, 1963 in Columbia, South Carolina to Robert James Redwine and Doris Nester Jones Redwine. He attended Heathwood Hall in Columbia, SC and the University of South Carolina. He worked at many radio stations in Columbia, SC before working for Sam’s Club. In 1987 he moved to Bentonville, Ar. to work at the Walmart Home Office in ISD and marketing through 2010, most notably he was technical director and later general manager for the Walmart Radio Network, which provided music and information to Walmart stores throughout the US and Canada. In 2010 to 2014 he worked with Mitchell Communcations Inc. as Social Media Community Manager for Walmart’s internal associate social media platform. He retired in 2014 but did some occasional consulting in radio, marketing and social media. He was active in the northwest Arkansas music scene playing bass and singing. He acted in numerous plays at the Rogers Little Theater, The Village Players and the Arts Center of the Ozarks He directed plays for the Village Players, served as President of The Village Players of Bella Vista and also served on the board of the Sugar Days Festival in Bentonville in the 1990s.
  
  He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert James Redwine, Jr. and Neil Coite Redwine; his father-in-law Wendell Reynolds.
  
  He is survived by his wife, his mother-in-law, and numerous cousins and friends.

  Mrs. Knotts went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 11, 2013. Born April 16, 1930 in Albemarle, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Clay Tom and Kate Clark Redwine. She was the wife of 53 years, of the late Don Morton Knotts, whom she adored. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Albemarle. Mrs. Knotts was a graduate of Albemarle High School and Women's College (now UNCG) and had a life long career in the Stanly County Schools as an elementary teacher. In the schools, she was known for her love of children, but her heart belonged to her family. She cherished her husband, children and grandchildren and will forever be remembered as a loving wife and mother.
  
  The family extends a sincere thank you to Tidewater Hospice Staff, especially Precious, Kim, Dr. McCloy and Heather for the care and compassion shown to our mother during her illness. Also a special thank you to the ladies at Harbor Chase Memory Care.
