Regan United Methodist Church:
Regan United Methodist Church http://netministries.org/see/churches/ch00240%22 is the ancestral religious home for our family. It was here, some two hundred and twenty years ago, in 1783, that the Regan Brothers, John, Ralph & Richard Regan, along with their families formally organized this ancient church. They and their descendants have worshipped here, even down to this very day. Even though the current membership is small, the doors still remain open to the public for worship. Much interest has been placed on the history of this church, as it was the first Methodist Church to be organized in this county. Lately, an interesting brief history of this church, as well as historic articles on the Regan Family appears in the publication "Our Heritage, Robeson County, North Carolina, 1748-2002". If you would like more information on this book, you may contact Sam West at the following address.
