2. Nicolaus2 Kuntz (Hans1). Nicolaus was born circa 1676. He married Catharina Margretha Weber circa 1700. Nicolaus died after 1722. His body was interred.
He was a Wagon Maker.
He lived in Otterberg, Germany, a small village about five miles from Kaiserslautern. In 1709 Nicolaus and Catharina Kuntz and their six children left Otterberg, Germany and traveled to England, where they were later sent to Middleton Parish in Ireland. In Middleton three more children were born: two girls and a son Michael, born 27 Dec., 1717. After Michael's birth the family returned to Otterberg, Germany. The baptism records of the three children born in Ireland were returned and entered into the records of the church at Otterberg. The minister explained that the family left Germany in 1709 because of hard times, and that they were good Christians and highly respected in their community. (From the research of Petra Suess, an accredited genealogist from Freiburg, Germany, and sent to Lee Koontz in Lexington, NC, in Apr., 1995.).

Catharina Margretha Weber was christened in Otterberg, Germany. Catharina died.
