3. Adeline B.2 Gobble or Gobbel (Godfrey1). Adeline was born on 16 Aug 1830. She married Absolom or Absolem Koontz on 7 Aug 1850. Bondsman - David Gobble. Witness - Alfred Hargrave Bond date. Adeline died. Her body was interred.
In Feb., Term of Court, 1867, a Petition to sell land of Absolom Koonts, Deceased, by H. C. Gobble, Administrator versus Mary L. and Elmina S. Koonts, children of Absolom. There was about 115 acres more or less adjoining lands of John Koonts, John Wilson and others. In Feb. Term of Court, 1867 there was a Petition of the widow of Absolom, Adeline Koonts, versus her children for a dower. In Mar., 1867, a commision laid off 38 1/2 acres. In May Term of Court, 1867, Adaline Koonts, widow of Absolom Koonts, deceased, petitioned the Court to set aside a widow's dower partioning for her. Mentions Elizabeth Koonts, widow of Jacob Koonts, having a life estate in property so Court could not put Adaline Koonts in possession of land. In the metes and bounds is mention of a Sarah Koonts corner. (Sarah Koonts would have been the widow of Chapel John Koonts.) This means that the land had been previously surveyed. This is found in Division of Land Book, page 1. 1870 US Census, Davidson County, Tyro Township, NC, Household #149.

By Alfred Hargrave, J.P., wit.: Absolom (X) Koontz. She married J. W. Freeman on 23 Nov 1865. Lutitia died on 7 Sep 1890 at age 56. Her body was interred in Sep 1890 at Tyro, Davidson County, NC. St. Luke's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Jesse S. Koontz or Koonce. Jesse was born on 6 Feb 1833 at Davidson County, NC. Jesse died on 10 Jan 1865 at Davidson County, NC, at age 31. from gravestone. His body was interred in 1865 at Davidson County, NC. Beulah Reformed United Church of Christ Cemetery, on Arnold Road. He was in the Civil War, C.S.A., as a 1st Lt. in the 66th Regiment, 16th Brigade of Davidson County, NC in the NC Militia - 26 Nov., 1862 with his brother Michael.

America E. Hedrick. America was born on 8 Nov 1839 at NC. from Bible record. She married Andrew Jackson Koontz or Koonts 27 Jan., 1859 at NC. Bondsman - Philip Koonts by Bennett Nooe, J.P. America died on 2 Aug 1925 at age 85. Her body was interred in Aug 1925 at Davidson County, NC. Reeds Baptist Church Cemetery. She petitioned for the Years Support Allowance 1 Dec., 1862 Term of Court. Andrew Jackson Koonts' half brother, Michael Koonts, became Administrator of Andrew's Estate.
